FAQs for Moisturizing Soap
What is TFM? How is it relevant? How does it reflect on quality?
TFM is Total Fatty Matter. It is a representative of quality/purity of soap. Generally, higher the TFM means better the quality of soap. But in most cases, the TFM can be replaced by value added/beneficial ingredients thereby reducing the TFM.
What is soap grade? Grade 1, 2, 3; what is the difference between toilet soap and a bathing bar?
Bureau of Indian Standards classifies toilets soaps on the following basis.
- 76% and above TFM – Grade 1
- 70% – 75% TFM – Grade 2
- 60% – 69% TFM – Grade 3
Less than 60% are not classified as toilet soap as per the standards. Brands below 60% TFM are classified as bathing bars.
I’ve got really sensitive skin. Will your products be OK for me to use; as it contains scrub particles?
Generally, our soaps suit all types of skin. But if your skin is really sensitive, we recommend you to use the soap on a small area of skin first and see the reaction on skin for the next 2 hours. If there is no uneasiness (rash, irritation), you can use the same.
How long does your soap last?
This will vary based on size of soap bought, usage, number of family members using and storage conditions. All our soaps should be stored in a dry area, post use. To ensure that soaps last longer, we recommend that the soap be kept in a soap dish which does not retain water or be kept away from the shower where water usually falls or splashes.
